Or you could call them Nana's lil Chefs...
Colten and Tyler bake sugar cookies.
Grandma Weycker sent the boys chef outfits with a book of kids recipes. I was actually a little shocked with some of these recipes. There were all sorts of meals for them to make. But they required a LOT of supervision. Even for someone Colten's age. So I kept thinking of what they could make that wouldn't be too hard, wouldn't require standing over a hot stove, and something we could allow them to do all by themselves.
Oh, yes. Sugar cookies.
So I set everything out for Colten and Tyler and got a picture of the most handsome chefs in the world!

Tyler is the 'master chef ' today so he mixes the ingredients.
Then he sloshes cookie mix everywhere. So daddy comes to the rescue. He still wants to be as independent as possible but agrees to some help.
Before long there is cookie mix everywhere. "It just wont stay in the bowl" Tyler says.
So daddy gets a little more involved { with Tyler's permission of course. After all, He is the master chef! }
Then Kale finally decides to become part of the team.

And of course mommy steals kisses from my lil chef before we finish.
We were so busy eating awesome cookies made by my lil chefs to take pics.
They were good. The boys created all sorts of goodies out of these sugar cookies. Colten made a football. Tyler made baseballs. Mommy made a flower and Daddy decided he would stick to being the taste tester.
This was a lot of fun just out of the blue. We should really do this more often!
