Morgan and Me

{January 25}

I decided that I was going to take a day to hang with Morgan. We snuggled and snuggled and snuggled  basically all day!

Kale and the boys went off and did boy stuff. So Morgan and I decided we were just going to be little lazy bums. I caught some cute pics of her.

She is confused as she looks out her bedroom window. She begins to stare! I really think she likes a little bit of sunshine!

Yep. She's hooked. She stayed like this for a while. Very content. Loved it!

She is not a fan of tummy time yet. So she has 'back time' for now :)

 Later that night, while I was rocking Morgan to sleep after her very exhausting bath { it's so tough being a baby!} daddy caught us and took some pics.

We interrupt your rocking time for this special photo break :)

Her hair is crazy. She's my little miss crazy hair!

Lovin my time with her. I know it won't last long!

We Love Our Family

A shout out for the Harrison Family

My Sister In Law, Christina has such a beautiful Family. She is married to a wonderful Husband, Wes and has a cute little boy, Noah.

In the past years, Christina has gone through some tough stuff! She has had multiple pregnancies fail. She is helping me to understand HIS will for her. HE has blessed her with a beautiful son. Our nephew Noah.

When Kale and I learned we were pregnant, we also learned Christina was pregnant. We were so happy for them and they were happy for us too. Christina and I were both due within a few days of each other. As my pregnancy thrived and was healthy, Christina's was not. I started to experience sadness. My pregnancy was well and hers was not so well. It took me everything I had at the time to talk about my pregnancy with her. I was sad. She experienced the loss of another Baby Harrison at about 11 weeks. I was hearing my daughters heart beating, watching her feet move, and growing this baby bump of mine. This whole experience not only brought me closer to her, it also made me aware of how powerful and awesome HE is. I prayed a LOT. She helped me understand about God's will and God's perfect timing. She also taught me a lot about HIS plan for us.

This experience made me realize how blessed we are as parents. How blessed we are to bring life into the world. How blessed we are to have 3 beautiful children. We are so blessed! To even think that in the past I took advantage of this wonderful gift. I lost one of my children for a few months while I was overcoming drug addiction. This was not only painful, but it made me realize how much the Lord loves me. This made me realize that he has a plan for me. To be a wonderful mom and enjoy life with my children.

 I am posting some information for all of our family. To expand the reach farther.

The Harrison's are currently in the adoption process. They are going to adopt a little one and expand their family.

In the event that The Harrison Family receives the funding for this adoption, all of the proceeds will be turned over for donation to help another family in need.

Forward this to anyone you know that would be interested in these ABC scripture cards. All three of my children received these for Christmas. They are cute. And honestly, adults would love them too.

Snow Days {1}

{ January 13 }

The boys like the snow. They get excited when it snows for ONE reason and ONE reason only:

Snow Sledding!!!!

I don't even have to ask. When snow hits the grounds here in Indiana, the boys are quick to grab a sled.

First snow of the season. The boys grab their sled and head outside. They start off in the front yard...

This flat sidewalk just wasn't good enough. So the boys go to the backyard. At least there is a 'tiny hill' they could have fun on. ( Or at least this is what Tyler calls the dirt mound )

They were having fun but I thought a BIGGER hill would be so much more fun. So I called Kale at work. Told him what the boys were doing and that they needed some 'Kale' time. I knew of this hill they could go sledding on that is HUGE. So he decided to take the boys to Target, buy some "real" gloves and then run off to the BIG hill.

The boys were ecstatic!

He got Colten!

Kale is going to show them how this is done

Tyler and Daddy

Colten is going down face first...this could be hilarious

It was really fun for the boys..until...

Colten wipes out. It started off being Kale and Colten on the sled. The boys were going good until they started shifting sideways. Immediately Kale jumps off the sled and is up on his feet before Colten even stops rolling. I felt terrible. Kale is smiling. Poor Colten. Kale tells him, aww suck it up whiner!

Colten finally comes to a stop...

Kale is trying to cheer him up. But it doesn't work

He lays on the ground still trying to figure out what just happened.

Well, I know this won't hold Colten back from going snow sledding again. There will be more snow days to come :)

A Little Outdoors

{ January 7 }

While Grandpa and Grandma Shank were in town, we decided to go out to a friends property and  shoot some guns. A little target practice. This was fun and exciting for everyone. The boys especially liked this. Kale went and bought the boys a bb gun to start off with. I am really hoping in the future he can learn some good skills and maybe go hunting with us sometime. And Tyler is a bit young yet but if he gets into shooting enough maybe he too, in time, will want to go.

Kale started the boys off with their bb gun.

Both boys were looking down the (barrel/through the scope) with the wrong eye. They couldn't figure out if they were left hand shooters or right hand shooters. Kale's friend A.J. showed them how they could tell which (hand/arm) they would favor. I got this on video because it was too cute. Colten and his faces!

While Tyler ( somewhat not that interested ) is off playing with sticks and mud, Colten has become a little more confident in himself. He wants to shoot the gun without Kale over his shoulder. So Kale let him have a go.

Colten was pretty confident with the bb gun.

So we moved on to bigger and better. The 22.

Then Grandpa Shank came on the scene with a 22 pistol. Tyler for sure wanted to shoot this gun. It was just like his nerf gun at home. Only heavier, shinier, and not so safe. Oh and you can't hide around the corner and shoot mommy with this one!

Colten wasn't too interested in the pistols. He decided to run off and play in the woods.

Kale and Colten got in on some beer cans together.

Now it's time for the adults to shoot. Debra kept an eye on the kiddos. Well we all kept an eye on the kiddos and took turns shooting one at a time. With Tyler and his bebop-in around, ya never know.

Ugh! My bum ear! I remember asking my dad why my ear stuck out from  my head this way. He told me, "Because every time you would get in trouble, that was the ear I would drag you to your room with"! Ha now it's permanent. :)

Grandma Shank stayed with the baby the whole time. This was very nice of her to do. This gave me a little space from the baby, fun shooting guns, and I was able to keep a better eye on the boys.

We decided to pack up after hours of being out. It was a little chilly and the boys were getting restless. So we hopped a ride back to the trucks.

Before leaving out, I decided to get some family pics. I had to!

I love my kiddos!

Grandma, Grandpa and the boys

If you only knew what Grandpa Shank said to make us laugh so hard!

This was a blast. We had so much fun while Grandma and Grandpa Shank were in town. We look forward to seeing them again!!
