Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve 2011

All we heard Christmas Eve was Tyler asking a million and one questions about his gifts. He wanted to know why. where. who. and what!

I thought this was adorable but exhausting. No matter how many times you explain something to a 5 year old, they just keep coming at you with more questions.

But aside from all of that. This was a special Christmas for the Shank Family. We would be celebrating Morgan's First Christmas. After that being said...It was not as exciting as it may have just sounded. She slept. And slept. And slept some more. I guess at 3.5 weeks old that's all you can expect.

Tyler made sure to put out cookies and milk for Santa this year. He even added some candy from his gingerbread house to the plate.

We also opened our gifts from Tache and Papa. Labeled - Open Christmas Eve. One of the reasons I love Christmas Eve so much. NEW JAMMIES! And with it being chilly in the state on Indiana, this was perfect.

And if you only knew how excited Tyler was to get to open at least 1 gift before Christmas!!!

Tada

And of course Morgan in her little angel pajamas...

So our family went back to the hotel after an all day visit. Tyler FINALLY went to sleep. Daddy had to eat some cookies and drink some milk. He also was in charge of delivering presents for Santa.

Eat cookies...CHECK

Presents under tree...CHECK

With my Christmas stockings craft a no-go, Kale put his personal touch to some stockings for the boys. I don't even know why anyone would use ( USED) socks. But Kale is that kind of guy. Even if I asked him what he was thinking he would probably reply with " It'll buff" or "It puts hair on their chest mom" or "I got this, go away". So that is exactly what I did before getting myself into trouble!

Stockings...CHECK

What else did Santa do while delivering presents. He purposely knocked things over to make it look as if Santa had eaten 1,000 cookies. I thought this was funny. He also left a trail of presents to the tree.

With all that said and done...It was now time for Santa to go to bed.
