Morgan has been asking about school since she left. Every time we head to church she thinks we are going to school. She gets super sad when we say no. School isn't in session right now. She loves school more than any kid I know.

We are so excited to watch her grow this coming year. She will get to meet some new friends too!

Happy #4 Morgan Shank

Morgan had several different requests for her Birthday. We actually fulfilled them all because she's 4 and what do 4 year old's want? Food. An awesome toy. And cake!

For Lunch we took her to Q'Doba. Her request.

Then we went home and made a cake with homemade icing. Gosh I love this icing! Recipe here.

After dinner we let her blow out her candles and open presents. This girl was in Heaven!!

Mayse Farm & Morgan's First Field Trip

This past Thursday Morgan got to go on her very first Field Trip to Mayse Farm! She was so excited to get ready for preschool that morning. She knew that she was going on a "trip" with her class and she knew she would get to ride a big yellow bus. It was an exciting Morgan for our 3 year old!

Here are some photos of Morgan on her First Field Trip :

Pumpkin Picking

Of course Morgan wanted to be different. Instead of choosing a pumpkin where everyone else was, she said "I'm going down here to find the perfect pumpkin". I thought it was adorable. I love her independence.

note: She is usually the leader in all situations
Duck Races

She loves tractors

We spent nearly 3 hours having a blast. She was asleep before we got home that day. Of course little Ryker was too :)

First Day of Preschool | Morgan

Well, our baby isn't a baby anymore. She's now a big girl! She knows it too.

I remember thinking back to last year and how Tyler started school and Morgan would try to follow. It was the sweetest thing ever! Morgan would be dressed in nothing but a pull - up with her back-back on, hair a mess, dragon breath, no breakfast and no shower just heading out the door after her brother.

I would tell her as kindly as I possibly could - "Morgy, your not big enough"

She would cry and hold me. I would hold her back. It was SO emotional!!

Well, needless to say she has been dreaming of this day since last year. Her day is finally here and she is the happiest girl EVER!

When we were on our way to her preschool she just looked at me with these big happy eyes and said "Mom, I told you I was big enough"!

Oh the memories and the time that we've been blessed with just makes my heart SO happy.

Morgan will attend preschool at our church this year and next year. This year she is in the 3 year old class and couldn't be happier. She will attend Tuesday and Thursday half-days.

Here is our happy, smiling, energetic, social & beautiful "BIG GIRL" on her very first day of preschool 2015!

Morgan is SOOO excited about starting pre-school (her first year) this September! She has her back-pack, her lunch box (even though I think they serve lunch) and a few pencils with a notepad (just like her brother's). This is a big year for Morgan!! I think, however, it will be a little hard to leave her once I drop her off!

VBS 2015

Vacation Bible School 2015

Giving back and serving our Lord this year was an incredible experience. Kale and I had the pleasure of being group leaders of the 5th grade at VBS for our church. It was fun, exciting and quite the experience for two people who have never been in charge of a class like this before.

We weren't allowed to take photos of our class or the participants due to some rules the church put in place but we were able to grab up a few pics with our kiddos who attended VBS this year and may or may not have taken a few oopsie pics! But that is classified info. so carry on :)

Our service project for VBS 2015:

To collect and purchase baby items for Potters Wheel in Evansville. One half of the 4th grade delivered brown bags to a selected neighborhood on Monday. Thursday the other half went back and collected all of the bags filled with baby items. Then on Friday our 5th grade class got to deliver all of the bags to Potters Wheel. It was truly amazing to see all the donations and gifts from our community to help others in need. Kale and I were blessed beyond measure to get this reality check and to see so many smiling faces and to know the ones we didn't see are smiling too.

I took the kids shopping. We gathered up some funds and I told them to pick out whatever they wanted for all the babies in need. They had fun doing so. It was such an amazing contribution and a good way to spend some money doing something really good. It felt good.

We purchased diapers, wipes, soap, lotion, blanets, towels, clothes, binkys - I mean it was just amazing.

Then our 5th grade class went to Potters Wheel to deliver. Such an amazing experience. We handed our plates of food, napkins and drinks. Then cleaned up after dinner was done.

We also made bags for all the kids filled with water, granola bars and fruit snacks :)

We helped the kids make cross necklaces

And this is our stage at CFC where the donations were placed daily from our church VBS members! You can see it went from nothing to grand in just a week!

The stacks just kept getting bigger and bigger. It was so amazing!

And no for a little showing of US during our fun times at CFC!

Exhausted but worth it!

VBS was so much fun. God is Amazing. Opening our eyes to things we normally don't see. Kale and I loved volunteering and I know we will continue to do so!
