Morgan Turns 2! {The photo session}

If there is one thing I love, it's taking pictures. Especially of my kiddos. Normally, I take iPhone pics of the kids because my phone is always readily available! This time, I decided to get Morgan out of the house. She was excited about this little jacket and matching hat. She kept wearing it around the house while playing with her new babies. It was sweet.

Happy #2 Morgan!

Anytime Morgan is outside, she feels the need to make herself known. Every. Single. Time. One of the things I love about her!

She didn't pose for me very well. I sort of let her talk away which she does a LOT of these days. There was one time in particular when I did ask her to pose. I put my hands on my hips and smiled. She copied me but in her own way. ADORABLE!

My Beautiful Babes

I love Photography and I love my kids!

So I took some photos of them today just because. I love Morgan's cute little face...and I love Tyler's blue eyes!

They are getting so big and so close. Especially Morgan and Colten. They have that 'you can't break us apart' sibling love. Tyler loves playing with Morgan. He loves kissing her!

The greatest gift ever...my children!

SS Photography

PHOTOGRAPHY
& ME

One of my passions is photography. I believe everyone I know...knows this about me. It's sort of like this...

My camera would definitely be something I rescued if my house was burning down! Enough said!

So...while being a daycare provider...there are times when we are outside lying on a blanket, the sun shining, all the kids smiling...this does happen! Not always. But fortunately it happened today.

AND...I grabbed my camera. I'm really glad I did.

I got some awesome photos of two of my daycare kids. I have permission to photograph by the way. BUT again...please do not download or share these. I have to say that :)

I am so please to present to you some of my work!

And while I was at it... I got a snapshot of Tyler and his favorite bud. Hunter.

I have been asked by a few of my closest friends if I would take some family portraits for them. I was so excited to hear this! I jumped on it immediately! One of my friends said they were going to pay me. I thought...pay me? NO! Your a dear friend. But they insisted and it's not like I could refuse. I am so blessed right now. I can't wait to show off these images!

Day 3 - You and Your Spouse

25 Days to Document Your Life in Photos
{ The Shank Family }

I honestly thought Kale and I would get a minute alone to take a few pictures with eachother. Ha! I was so wrong. This hectic and ever changing life we lead leaves very little time for JUST Kale and I. So I used the photos we took on Mother's Day.

Day 2 - The Inside of Our Home

25 Days to Document Your Life in Photos
{ The Shank Family }

Remember the photo challenge I thought would be great. Well....It is great... And we are back.

Now that things have settled down just a tad around this Shank house I was able to put all the pics I've taken over the last few days in action. Enjoy the tour :)

Hope you enjoyed the tour of our home. Can't wait to start on day 3

Day 1 - Hands {updated}

25 Days to Document Your Life in Photos
{ The Shank Family }

{ the mr. and mrs. with their original first rings. The rings we wore when we said 'I DO" }

{ She's definitely wrapped around her daddy's finger }

{ The Kiddos }

{ And of course our feet just because one of my favorite photographers did this in hers }

{ Daddy had the idea of putting one of my rings on Morgan. When the day comes that the Lord blesses her with a husband we will look back on this photo and cry! }

{ Colten   Morgan   Tyler }

{ This photo is one of my favorites. Her fingers are so tiny now. This will also be another great photo to look back on when we are giving our daughter away }

{ True Photo of Kale Shank }

{ And we couldn't forget daddy's toes in this feet mix }

It was definitely a challenge getting these pictures. Morgan did not like having her hands held in place for mommy's camera. Tyler was just in a bad mood. Colten likes taking pictures.

This was a great and fun way of capturing some precious memories. I just wished everyone was more into this. While we were taking some photographs Kale got called back into work. SO...he isn't in some of these.

I can't wait to get started on tomorrow's.
