Thanksgiving Trip 2015 {part 5}

Baby. Bryson. And the first cousins pic! One of the main reasons for our trip was so that our kids could meet each other.

The pics didn't come out so well, but memories ARE memories :)

Poor Bryson. He's like what the heck is going on?! This kid....lol.

I could not get Ryker to sit still. He had just hit that age of movement. All. The. Time. Bryson was happy. Ryker, he just wanted to play :)

Cuties! I'm glad the kiddos got to meet each other before we took a year off from vacations/road trips. We can't wait to take a trip in 2017 to see everyone again.

Thanksgiving Trip 2015 {part 4}

While we were down in Florida we decided to hit the outdoor mall with Aunt Theresa. This was fun. For the first time EVER I got to go inside a POTTERY BARN!

I was literally in HEAVEN. I love Pottery Barn! I picked out my bedding and all sorts of stuff before we were even moved into our new home. I could have lived in that store for a week!

We took some pics around the Christmas Tree they had there too before hitting up a spot for lunch. This was a little more difficult than I thought :) Ryker just did not want to take a pic for mommy.

when you drive off with your Starbucks on the bumper and it doesn't budge....that's what you call  a good cup of joe!

Later that evening my sister invited me to have drinks with a few of her friends. It was nice getting a mommy date without the kids. Wiregrass is really pretty at night especially with the Christmas Tree!

It was such a pretty day and a nice evening out.

Christmas Craftiness {part 1}

This Christmas I decided to get a little crafty! I have spent too much time pinning on Pinterest not to!

I originally had this gift in mind for our kids as a Christmas Eve gift and for my brothers kiddos who would LOVE enjoying this treat. But I ended up having so much of everything that I continued the gift to all of our family that had kids. My sister and her husband also received one because they were hosting a Christmas party at their home. Festive! For each family that had children (except one who has just a baby who wouldn't be able to enjoy this treat) I decided to make Hot Cocoa Bar in a Box! I created at least 6 of these boxes and it was really neat to put them all together for everyone :)

The idea stemmed from two Pinterest Pins:

and

I loved the Hot Cocoa Mix idea but did not like the test tubes. I wanted some way of making this a box style. Easy to create and easy to wrap and ship. So I found the Ice Cream Sundae idea and merged the two together creating my own little box gift.

I fell in love with the way the toppings were enclosed in a clear bag topped off with stock paper. I also loved the gift tags hand stamped as well. I had fun purchasing the supplies!

 Before I wrapped these boxes up, I was making the kids some chocolate covered pretzels. Again, I had more than enough to go around so all the kids and adults in each family got their own chocolate covered pretzel stick!

They. Were. So. Good!

Hot Cocoa Bar in a Box

If there is one thing I know about Pinterest...mine never turn out as pretty as the picture followed. O'well. At least it was delicious.

I also chose to do something a little different for a few family members this year as far as gifts were concerned. For example, my sister just got married and bought her first home. I thought how cute is that?! What can I gift her that could make her home look and smell good? After all, anyone who knows me knows I love pretty things and smell goods! So I came up with an idea of a trio gift.

For the Home
For Christmas Morning
For You

For the Home:

I used the cutest homemade towels that my sister in law makes. Her brand is Fresh Regard on Etsy. You can find her store here. Then I did a little shopping at Bath and Body Works. Together they made up this cute gift box that I absolutely wanted to stuff under my own tree :)

For Christmas Morning:

This was the tag I used for the Hot Cocoa Bar in a Box. I thought it would be a fun and yummy treat after the gifts were unwrapped and everyone was ready to start their day off right!

For You:

Was the tag I used for the small gift (such as gift card) I also wrapped up.

I really loved creating a trio this year and loved it so much I think I will continue this trend. Each year I can come up with something new... For the Home, For Christmas Morning and For you. I love it!

I also got a little craftier with my wrapping this year. I purchased Kraft paper from Micheal's and some red twine along with neutral twine this year. Gift tags were a must along with the stamps I already had from the Pinterest Pin up above. It wasn't any more work than wrapping normally but boy did the gifts turn out cute. I added a clipping from our tree to make each gift extra festive.

With the time I had on my hands (from not currently being in business) I couldn't have done anything better than getting crafty and keeping myself occupied with giving. The giving part of the Holidays is always my favorite :)

My Little Man

I was so happy to be home with Ryker. Being in the hospital for nearly 4 days kinda stinks so going home and being in my own bed surrounded by my own things was really nice. Especially having a new baby.

Here's our little man snuggled in. I love him to pieces.

First ride in his car seat coming home with us

Just snug as a bug in a rug

Sounds asleep

He is such a blessing. I kiss him and kiss him and kiss him all day long.

Last Friends Date

About a week ago my friends and I decided to plan our last lunch dates before baby Shank arrives. Since I will be having surgery for delivery, it will be a while until I can hang with my friends again. Oh and I will now have my hands full with a new little one, a toddler and the two older ones. LIFE will be FULL :)

So we did just that and I'm really glad we did. I got to chit chat about the baby, baby names, future happenings and catching up on our lives as moms.

The first date was with my bestie Beth. Of course we didn't take selfies...we totally forgot! The conversations were too interesting... however, I did capture Morgan's sweet "I refuse to smile for you" face!

I chose my all time favorite lunch. After all, I won't get any real food for 2-3 days after surgery!

I took the photo below because of course my daughter would do something like this...

The waitress had just got through wiping and resetting all the tables around us. I take my eye off Morgan for 5 seconds and then find these on the chair next to me. It takes me a minute but I figured out that she took these off the newly reset tables. Beth and I just couldn't help but to start laughing. REALLY MORGAN? I made sure to leave a little extra tip to the waitress!

The second date was with my bestie Melissa. We LOVE mexican food. Morgan always LOVES to see her 'Lissa.

This was a fun week and I'm really glad I got to visit with my two best gals before baby arrives.

Veggie Tales Live {2014}

Morgan had the dance off of her life last night! We got tickets a few months back for Veggie Tales Live at our church. I didn't expect it to be so awesome. It was extremely entertaining for the kids and I must say...the adults!

She danced and danced and danced. What a cute show!

And of course...this was Morgan within a few minutes of being in the truck :) Took this photo when we got home and just giggled!

We are definitely doing this again  next year :)

Family Portraits {Wisconsin Dells Vacation}

While on vacation at the Dells, my sister in law Kristen set up a really special treat for everyone in the family. Being a photog, this gift melted my heart with joy! If there is one little special thing close to my heart...It's documenting through time with photographs.

We all color coordinated and it was really special.

With 22 people, she couldn't have chosen any better of a photographer. The photo session went so smoothly and much quicker than I would have expected.

I scored some "Behind the Scenes" pics on my cell. I really wanted to document the bloopers as it was super cute to see all 9 kiddos posed at the same time! Believe it or not, they did amazing given their ages!!

We have 7 kiddos 5 and under, 8 year old Tyler and 12 year old Colten. They really did good :)

It was also really special to see the great-grandparents and grandparents with the kids.

This was an unbelievable gift that will be cherished for a lifetime!

We love them and can't wait to put them all over the house :)
